You may now send a message such as "$optout" to any of our robotic fish. This will permanently prevent all Project Upstream communications from reaching your account." So just reply to the message with $optout and it then sends you back a confirmation. Seems to work. If you mention it on your profile information there is a large chance that they will message you.
